Two thousands years ago, in a town of Nazareth, there lived a young woman named Mary. She was engaged to be married to Joseph, a carpenter. One day an angel appeared before her and told her she, had been chosen to have a special baby.

The baby would be God’s son and she must call him baby Jesus. Soon after the angel’s visit, Mary and Joseph were married. Mary was due to have a baby when they were told they had to go a long long journey to Bethlehem, which was were Joseph came from. This was because they had to pay a special tax.

Mary had to ride on a donkey for a few days over the hills of Galilee. At last Mary and Joseph arrived at Bethlehem. It was crowded with other people who needed to pay their taxes. Mary was tried and needed a place to stay. At each inn, the story was still the same. There was no room for them. But there was one more inn but no room.

The innkeeper said sorry theres no room he said. But Joseph said “My wife is having a baby.” So the innkeeper led them to a stable where animals were. They were happy when they found a home.




In the middle of the night God’s son was born. There were some shepherds looking after the sheep. And suddenly an angel appeared from the sky, he told them to go and see God’s son. Three wise men traveled to the west and bought gold,frankenstein, and myrrh. And lived happily ever after.

2013 Netbook Reflection

The biggest change this year was swapping papers and pencils to a fascinating machine. I have discovered a new product that helps me and learn a lot of  interesting facts.

You can learn a lot of shortcuts and all kinds of stuff. At the start of term one we were learning to touch type and learn how to use Google,gmail, and Google drive. We use our Netbooks for creating new learning.

When we do mistakes is not a problem. Netbooks to me are a learning tool and are not for games. We used our Netbook to research things that we want to know about in OUR learning.  

What I like about using Netbooks instead of books is because you won’t get a painful hand. My buddy's helps me when I am stuck. The best thing learning on my own is I won’t get distracted by anyone.

A rousie  is a person who helps sheep shearers. The word rousie comes from New Zealand. They spread each wool on the table. And sort the good wool from the dirt or stained wool. She loads the wool press so it can stay flat. There were more sheep pens, more wool to carry on the table, more wool to sort out,and more wool to load in the press.

Ambury Farm Experience

Have you ever been to a place called Ambury farm? Its a beautiful place so people can take a look at some animals. Farmers look after animals because they get paid really well.                                                         

 Janine took us into a shearing shed and show us amazing facts about lanolin,wool,kaka,ewe,ram,and hoggits. My classmate and I sniffed the kaka and it smelt really bad.

We all fed the animals and they were roosters,sheeps,goat, and chickens. My favourite animal was a cow, because it makes milk. My classmates and I learned interesting facts it was the best.

My Holiday Highlight

In the Holiday’s  I had lots and lots of fun. My family and I all celebrated my cousin birthday. On sunday my cousin came over to visit me.

My cousin and I were playing a game called grand theft auto five. The next morning we all dropped, off my cousin back home. I was so bored that I couldn't do anything in the car.

When we all got home I was playing on my brothers iphone 4. My family and I had lots of fun at my cousin birthday. It was the best holidays of my life. I wish if I can have another one like that..

Cheese Making

One day there was a captain and a man called James. Captain hook and I  were evil villains. We want to take over neverland, but we can’t because of Peter Pan and his pirate crew. So we snuck in to dig for some treasure and we got caught.

Captain hook and  I were sad and poor. Fifteen years later we had no money to buy anything. So we begged for some money but no one cared about us. Peter pan and his crew were celebrating because they were rich and powerful.

One day Peter Pan was thinking about us and felt disappointed. So we came back to Neverland with nothing to eat and no money to afford anything. When peter pan saw us he gave us some food to eat and some money to buy stuff for me and Captain Hook.  We all became friends and lived happily ever after.

Bad Boy Is Back In Town

The Five Little Pigs

On a hot and sunny day there once lived a mother pig who lived in a cottage with five little pigs. Everyday mother pig works in a big bakery down the lane to make hot chips. The five little pigs supposed to go to school in a village.

Every evening mother pig comes home to asks the five little pigs. The five little pigs replied to her and said” yes mother we went to school. However mother pig found out the naughty pigs didn’t went to school. She heard a voice and it was a mouse. She talked to the mouse to tell her why they didn’t went to school.

So mother pig told the little mouse to run after the five little pigs to keep on eye on them. So the mouse can get a cheese reward for dinner. The mouse agreed so the next day, the mouse ran after the five little pigs. The mouse run as fast as he could.

He followed the five little pigs. They didn’t tell the truth so the little mouse pointed to the first pig then the other. Then the mouse said to them. This little piggy went to market and this little piggy stayed home. This little piggy ate roast beef and this little piggy had none.

And this little piggy cried “wee,wee,wee all the way home. The five little pigs was furious that the mouse had to given away their secret. From then on the five little pigs had to go to school,if they don’t go to school the mouse will tell on their mother.

Dear Key Pal,

Bula vinaka and my name is James. And I i’m a year 5 student. I am a boy and I go to Pt England School in Auckland. A lovely place where you can have fun and learn a lot.

I live in New Zealand. My favorite food is KFC and Burger King. My favorite places I like to go is the movies and the JB Hi Fi. Every day I like to go with my two brothers and play video games.

The best book I like to read is Jack and the beanstalk. My subject I like is maths because it helps you and think fast. In my family have two brothers and  one sister.

At home I have a Xbox 360 a Playstation Two and a Xbox. My brother has a flat screen and a ipad. I hope you really like my letter. Thank you for reading.

Goldilocks

Once upon a time, there was 3 bears went for a walk in the forest. They were called pa bear ma bear and baa baa bear. The little baa baa bear was a lamb. The bear family found a house in the forest. "We've done it again," Said pa bear. They all walked into Goldilocks story. The pa bear sat in a big chair, the ma bear sat in a small chair. But the baa baa bear sat on the couch and watched TV.

My Holiday Highlight

In the holidays I really enjoyed playing on my brothers i phone 5. The next morning we all went to a place called the chipmunks. There was a bouncy castle, video games a slide and more to play with.

And guess what we had lot of fun and I was excited to go there. Then at night time we all went to a restaurant called Gen Ji. The food taste so yummy and we had desert. It was pancake,and some ice cream.

Last week my mum left to Australia and i really miss her. She had a good time on the plane, because she has to find a house for our family. We all had a BBQ together on my brothers birthday. Have you ever been to a place called rainbow's end? Its so cool to be there. Wow what an exciting holidays I ever had.

Today we all went to Kelly Tarltons. It looked really small but when we got in said we all went underground.  We saw a lot of animal’s and they were penguin’s, jellyfish, shark, and also stingrays.

When we arrived we were amazed and it was cool. My friend and I researched Stingray’s. Stingray’s are mostly found in the north Island. They are about 1 meter long longer than man And bigger than man.

When we all went in the classroom there was a lady called Janice. She told us about Scott base, Murdoch station,and old Antarctica clothing,and new Antarctica clothing. 

In the old days they use to were the old clothing. They were cold so they went to hunt some dear. They use the dear’s fear to keep them warm and to stay alive.

But now they use the new Antarctica clothing. In Robert falcon Scott hut there's was lot and lot of food. And they are over 100 years old. Because it stayed in there for about 1925 years.

Stingray

When stingrays use their tailed they will sting you.

Stingrays are found mostly in the North Island.

Manta rays are ocean fish that are found in new Zeal- and.

Stingrays are about 1m long. They grow 1 meta long.

Eagle ray are easily distinguished then the stingray.

The electric ray are recognized by their circular shape.

Story Starter

One day their was a lonely buffalo  who works at The  Zoo. He was too busy sleeping. The lonely buffalo was locked in the Zoo because he was sleeping a lot.

The buffalo had a problem working at the Zoo.No one was their but Just him. He was sad and sad and sad. The buffalo got really hungry and started to look  for some food for him to Eat.

In the morning a person came by and his name was John. John   kept the buffalo as a pet. Because he had no friends but Just a lonely buffalo.And they live for happily and ever after.

Charlie got upset of otto and miss underwood said get back to work.that’s when he decided that he didn’t like otto.Otto made lot of mistakes. he tried to lean back but he fell down so did all the paints.Charlie was green too a he wasn’t happy

People in Antarctica are called scientist and they research Animals. One day a group of people were finding out how penguins Can stay underwater for a long time.

In the morning the scientist were doing another research.  And then suddenly a blizzard came. They rush back to the scott base and when they got back the door was lock.

They all called for help and no one was there. And again they called out but no one came.

They were still calling and shouting. Then a helicopter came to the rescue and save them all.

The Antarctic And Arctic is found in The North pole And the south pole. The Antarctic and Arctic are both cold.The difference about the Arctic  and Antarctica is colder than the south pole.

The Antarctic is special because it is the coldest continent on earth.no one calls at home only researches .in the Antarctic haves 6 types of Animals but in the Arctic have some.The weather in Antarctica stay up to 24 at night time and in day time.

The Arctic is special because  lot of Animals go to warmer places in the Arctic and they like it there.

and the  difference about summary stays up to 24 at day time and at night time.the same about the  Arctic and  Antarctic they both  are coldest
